Job Description

The Food and Beverage Manager oversees the daily operations of the food and beverage department to ensure high-quality service, customer satisfaction, and efficient operations. This role involves managing staff, coordinating with kitchen and service teams, and ensuring that food and beverage services meet the establishment’s standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Staff Management: Hire, train, and supervise food and beverage staff. Conduct performance evaluations and manage scheduling to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Operational Oversight: Ensure smooth daily operations, including managing inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment.
  • Customer Service: Address and resolve guest complaints or issues, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Menu Planning: Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to design menus, plan specials, and ensure the quality and presentation of food and beverages.
  • Financial Management: Monitor and manage budgets, control costs, and maximize profitability. Prepare financial reports and analyze sales data.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Oversee adherence to licensing and other legal requirements.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract and retain customers, including promotions and special events.
  • Quality Control: Maintain high standards of quality and presentation for food and beverage offerings. Conduct regular inspections and implement improvements as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management.
  • Proven experience in food and beverage management or a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including inventory management and cost control.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Working Conditions:

  • Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Fast-paced environment with occasional physical demands, such as standing for extended periods.
